By becoming a member of a local chamber of commerce, you expect some
level of service for your investment. The Cushing Chamber of Commerce, through
it’s Board of Directors, has been and currently is keenly aware that as a chamber of
commerce, our most important asset is our investors. Because of that we are
diligently focused on membership services and what we can do to assist your
business in being the best it can be.
We offer a membership referral service when someone contacts us looking
for specific products and/or services. We offer a display rack to our members to in
our foyer which is open 24/7 to display a rack card or brochure that describes their
business at no charge. Since 2010 we have offered a program entitled “Customer
Focus Series” which is an employee training series on such topics as telephone
etiquette, how to deal with difficult customers, working with generational differences,
etc. at a little or no cost basis. We instituted a program called Cushing Cash which
is a certificate that can be spent like cash in over 30 of our member businesses. It is
a wonderful way to reward an employee or to use as a gift to an individual that
keeps money being spent in Cushing and in our member businesses.
We provide Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting services to new businesses that
open in Cushing. We act as a legislative watchdog on legislative issues at the State
and Federal levels of government.
We encourage our member businesses to participate in our Business
Directory located on our website, www.cushingchamber.org. In the past 14 months
since the website began operations, we have over 256,000 hits and over 123,500 have
visited our Membership Directory.
More programs will be added in 2012. We are focused on our member
businesses. We know that if they succeed then our business community and the
Cushing Chamber of Commerce will flourish.
