Festival in the Park

29TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL IN THE PARK

Lots of great changes are headed your way during the 29th Annual Festival in the Park!  Thank you to the Cushing Chamber's amazing Festival in the Park Committee for thinking of such great ideas and leading the way for a "new but same" Festival in the Park!

Some of the awesome changes are:
*DATE CHANGE TO SEPTEMBER 30TH - SO GET APPLICATIONS IN EARLY!  SEE BELOW FOR NON-PROFIT & BUSINESS BOOTH APPLICATIONS AND MARK YOUR CALENDARS TODAY!

*LOTS MORE BOOTHS, GEARING TOWARD THE "VINTAGE MARKETPLACE" FEEL, AS WELL AS ARTISIANS SHOWING THEIR SKILLS IN RAKU, HOSTED BY THE LACHENMEYER ARTS CENTER; WOODEN BOWL MAKING; GLASS BLOWING; JUST TO NAME A FEW!

*CHS WRESTLING CLUB WILL HAVE A RUN IN THE MORNING OF THE FESTIVAL; MORE INFORMATION TO COME SOON.

*HEALTH CARE FAIR

*ROAMING ACOUSTIC BAND

*AND SO MUCH MORE IN THE WORKS!

There will not be a Juried Art Show through the Lachenmeyer Arts Center per their decision.  They will still be present and a part of the Festival in the Park with the Raku booth, which will be great fun!  The Chamber will be contacting some of the Lachenmeyer Arts Center's traditional artists that are a part of the Festival in the Park year after year, and see if they will come and still be a part of it.  So there will probably be some familiar faces and art that everybody loves, not to worry!

All of the kids will still be performing in the morning, however, there will not be an afternoon band on the stage; instead, there will be a roaming acoustic band. The Lions Club will still be having their Chili Cook-Off, and the non-profit organizations will still be the food booths. The businesses will still have booths, as well.  There will still be lots of fun Children's rides and attractions (bounce houses; face painting; dunk tank; rides; children's activities).  All Children acts will still perform in the morning, as well.

There is lots of new and exciting things happening with the Festival in the Park, but we are still keeping with some time-honored traditions.
