A Community Leadership Development Program
For High School Juniors
The Cushing Chamber of Commerce & Industry has established a leadership program for High School Junior Class students from the Cushing area.
This program is based on the model of Leadership Cushing, but structured to meet the needs of today’s youth. The program consists of a series of issue-oriented forums. The forums will emphasize that truly effective leadership requires knowledge, motivation and concern for others and strong moral character.
It is the goal of this program to provide information, guidance, challenge and honor to future community leaders. Participants will be selected on the basis of past performance in school and through other community activities.
TOMORROW’S LEADERS is designed to instill a sense of community pride to participants through experiencing the various elements that interact to form a strong and dynamic Cushing. The program has four specific objectives.
About the Program
Session I. The Cushing Chamber of Commerce & Industry will host a kick-off reception for parents and participants of Tomorrow’s Leaders which will be held at Cushing High School Fieldhouse.
Session II. Participants will meet for a session based upon a Cushing community profile and a local economy tour of Cushing.
