GOAL Represent the legislative interests of business on all levels and apprise members of issues of general concern. OBJECTIVES - Remain tuned into the issues of legislative concern that affect Cushing's business and community development on the federal, state and local level.
- Develop key legislative objectives and action agenda by targeting major issues.
- Alert Chamber members regarding legislative issues and work for legislation that will help Cushing and work against anything that may be detrimental to our city.
- Recommend policy positions to state and federal legislators.
- Possible Project: Host "Eggs 'n Issues" quarterly Legislative breakfasts. A possible format for this would be to encourage Chamber members to pay $25 (suggested) per person to hear the state delegation share their opinions about legislative issues, followed by question and answer session.
- Host bi-annual Legislative Golf Tournament at the Cushing Country Club.
